Harlan R. Ribnik, M.D.
Dr. Ribnik is a graduate of
the University of Colorado in Boulder where he received his Bachelor of Arts
degree in Mathematics and his Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
After attending the University of Colorado School of Medicine, he served an
Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri Hospital and
Clinics in Columbia. He served a Residency in Anesthesiology at the University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
He is Board Certified by the
American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). He has also attained Subspecialty
Board Certification in Pain Medicine from the ABA.
His interests include the management
of patients with chronic intractable pain of malignant and non-malignant origin.
He has received additional training in the placement of devices designed to
treat intractable pain syndromes. These include DuPen Epidural catheters,
programmable infusion pumps and intraspinal catheters, and spinal cord stimulator
systems. He has experience with systems manufactured by Medtronic,
Inc. and by Advanced
Neuromodulation Systems, Inc. Other
interests include the applications of Radiofrequency
lesions to nerves for the treatment of intractable pain syndromes.
